Dirt Bike Racing: Motocross

When people usually think of dirt biking, they mostly visualize about the enthralling motocross. The style attracts all the adventure lovers as it offers berms, various obstacles, and human-made jumps.

The motocross race usually has two types of sports, called professional motos and amateur motos. The former one is 30 minutes long with two laps, while the latter one lasts for 12-20 minutes.

Enduro In Wooden Terrains

Enduro dirt bike racing takes place in an unfamiliar course to the racers, and most of the time it takes place in wood-woven platforms. Every rider starts in a row of four riders. As the race begins, all of them leave the starting point at the intervals of one minute. Traditionally, this sport is a timekeeping event. However, recently there are local Enduro-racing series that showcase special test sections.

Dirt Bike Racing: WORCS

WORCS incorporates motocross track during the course while starting with a dead-engine. The loop of the trail runs over several miles. On the West Coast, these races take place and not in the East. Amateur racers race for a shorter period while the pros in the WORCS race for 2 hours.

Grand National Cross Country

GNCC is almost like the WORCS, but it has a trail loop that spread across several miles. If a GNCC racer is new to the sport, he/she will race for 2 hours. However, the pro-riders run a 3-hours long race.

Dirt Bike Racing:  Grand Prix

This racing sport has similar courses like WORCS. However, these races are way shorter than the pro-level WORCS races. The races complete in only 45 minutes.

Desert Racing

Do you know there is a type of racing in the dirt biking world named Desert Racing? Yes, as these are high-speed desert races, sometimes racers call it, ‘Hare and Hound.’ These events have a point-to-point track or long loops. During the start of the race, all the riders stay in a row.

Dirt Bike Racing: Supercross

Supercross is almost similar to the Moto-X, but the tracks are inside the stadiums. Also, unlike in motocross, the jumps are slower. However, these jumps launch the riders higher. The Supercross events run under floodlight at night.

Arenacross In Smaller Tracks

Arenacross is similar to SX, but it consists of smaller tracks. These tracks are smaller to fit them inside an arena instead of stadiums. The starting of the race is also similar to supercross, but there is a two-row start as the tracks are narrow.
